Story: Cheeku learns a lesson

Writer: Aaroh

Once upon a time, there lived a little rabbit named Cheeku. Cheeku was very naughty. He used to love climbing on trees and jumping down so that his parents could catch him. His mother used to warn him against doing that. “Cheeku, you could hurt yourself badly, please stop doing this act”. Cheeku didn’t listen even once, thinking she is simply blabbering.

As Cheeku grew, his weight increased. One day, he did it as usual (climbed the tree and jumped down). However, this time due to his weight, mother’s hand slipped and he fell down with”slaaaaaaaaam!!!” sound. The fall of Cheeku was so hard that he was injured.

His mother and father took him to the nearby veterinary hospital. Then finally Cheeku was fine. The first thing he remembered was that his father and mother were correct.

Finally, the doctors of the vet took Cheeku home. From then onwards, he never ever jumped down from the tree.

Strong winds destroyed many plants.

Jimmi got hurt too and was moaning in pain. Kukuu suggested to Jimmi “Apply my leaf’s pulp on your injury, you will be fine in few days”. Jimmi did the same and was perfectly healthy in few days. Jimmi apologized to Kukuu and after that they became good friends.

Moral: A person is identified by qualities and not by beauty.

Story: The Sprinter Nazia

Writer: Aaroh

Nazia was a very ambitious girl. She aspired to become world’s running champion.

She participated in her school’s running tournament. There were fifteen participants. She was confident of winning because she had practiced well for a month.

On the final day the race started, the referee whistled and all the sprinters started with all their strength. Nazia was on third till the middle game but she ended up at the seventh place.

Nazia felt really sad and returned home with a very sad face. Her father told her that she needed more practice and she will have to run at least five km daily for one or two years and then only she could think of being world champion. Listening to this Nazia got scared of the hard work and lost interest.

This bothered her father for weeks. He made a plan.
One day he asked Nazia to take a one month challenge of getting up early and running till nearby temple everyday. He promised that he would not ask her to do after that.

Nazia being an ambitious girl accepted it. She started getting up early and running everyday. On the last day of the month her father said “Nazia now its your wish if you want to go tomorrow then go otherwise you can leave.” Nazia also thought of taking rest, but next day her eyes opened on her own early in the morning and she could not stop herself from running and going to the temple.

Knowledge: Why do we see a rainbow?

Rainbows are sunlight and water. When it has just rained, or is about to rain, there is water in the air. Billions of droplets of water. When sunlight hits the droplets, it shatters and we see all the colors of light. Light from the sun colors our world. Light can bounce, scatter, shatter, or be absorbed, the way a sponge absorbs water. Light is made of colors of the rainbow. We see sunlight as white. So when light bounces, it comes back to us the same color — white. When light is absorbed, it goes away and we see darkness. And we see all different colors when light is scattered or shattered.

Story: The Two Seeds

Writers: Aaryan & Ishan

Once upon time there were two seeds who were laid side by side in the fertile spring soil.

The first seed said that he wants to grow! He wants to send his roots deep into the soil beneath him , and thrust his sprouts through the earth’s crust above him . He wants to unfurl his tender buds like banners to announce the arrival of spring . He wants to feel the warmth of the sun on his face and the blessing of the morning dew on his petals.
…so he grew.

The second seed said that he was afraid . If he send his roots into the ground below the hard soil above him , he may damage his delicate sprouts . What if he let his buds open and a snail tries to eat them? And if he were to open my blossoms, a small child might pull him from the ground. No it will be more better for him to wait until it will be safe.
And so he waited. A yard hen scratching around in the early spring around for food found the waiting seed and promptly ate him.
Moral: Those of us who risk to grow up get swallowed up by life
